About the Role

Hanover are recruiting for a friendly and positive individual to join us as a Development Assistant based at our Woodburn Court development in Hamilton. This permanent position involves working part-time 28 hours per week on a rota basis. The efforts of the Development Assistant is truly appreciated as the team work to ensure our residents feel safe and secure at home, living full and independent lives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Following current COSHH and Health Protection Scotland Guidance
  • Follow Food safety Guidance if applicable to the service
  • Adhere to and satisfy Environmental Health and Food Regulatory conditions
  • Follow the agreed cleaning schedule to identify areas of concern or that need attention
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene at all times
  • Assist development staff with physical emergencies during the day
  • Assist development staff with identifying and reporting repairs, H&S concerns, and maintenance
  • Assist development staff with H&S checks to ensure compliance
  • Provide ancillary warden call support to development staff, handling calls when required.

 

 

About You

  • To join us, you need to have a genuine passion for helping people.
  • Demonstrable experience of empathising with and caring for the elderly.
  • Able to follow cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • A flexible approach to work with a can-do attitude.
  • Communicate effectively with basic writing skills.
  • You’ll also need some ICT skills so that you can access all of your available e-learning programs as well as the company portal.

This role will be subject to disclosure checks and successful applicants must be able to demonstrate satisfactory reference checks.
