Support Worker - Fixed Term 12 Months

Location:  Rosemount Court, Carluke, ML8 4DZ                                        

Working Hours: 17.5 hours per week on a rolling rota - there are 2 job share posts open to fill the cover the FT Maternity Cover                         

Remuneration: £14.30 per hour (Probation rate)

                         £15.02 per hour (upon completion of successful probation)

About the Role

Hanover Scotland are excited to be recruiting for a Support Worker on a fixed term basis at our Rosemount Court development in Carluke.

About You

Our Very Sheltered Services are Development-based and provide enhanced provision to support adults with varying needs including physically disability, learning disability, and older adults. Our services enable vulnerable adults in their own homes to live as independently as they are able, all adapted to indiviual housing support plans.

Essential

  • A genuine passion for helping people.
  • Able to demonstrate Hanover Scotland values - Inclusion, accountability, respect, collaboration.
  • Ability to relate to people with empathy and recognise independence and right of choice.
  • Willing to work towards an SVQ and registration with SSSC.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as a lone worker on site, covering a 24-hour shift pattern.
  • Able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.
  • The successful postholder eill only be permitted to start once full and satisfactory PVG check is received.

Desirable

  • Demonstrate experience in care or housing setting
  • SVQ level 2 or above and be willing to work towards an SVQ 3.
  • Commitment to undertake care practice in accordance with regulatory codes of practice and Hanover policies.
